The Wide Body Trifacet diamond knife was the original ophthalmic diamond blade scalpel design dating back to the early 1970s. Desgined for a wide range of advanced ophthalmic surgeries, ideal for trabeculectomies and controlled wound enlargement.

Features:

  • Industry-standard blade thickness (170-200 μm) combined with a neutral, non-self-directing faceting bias.
  • Three-edged design with safety-beveled sides to prevent inadvertent wound enlargement.
  • Excellent freehand control over pointed designs, ideal for detailed flap, lamellar, and pocket dissections.
  • More tissue resistance during Paracentesis formation.
