Available in three or four fins, the Davis Plumbob is an excellent choice to make a vertical reference point for patients in an upright position.

- The original Davis 4-Ray PlumBob features four radial fins at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions.
- The Solomon-Davis 3-Ray PlumBob removes the 12 o’clock fin to reduce upper lid interference.
- The extended holding stem allows easy corneal access and free movement of the PlumBob, which functions as the vertical weight during marking.
- Surgeon holds the stem between the thumb and forefinger for precise marking.
- Can be used with or without ink; epithelial marks last an hour or more.
